Man Pit I hope that avatar is not your ex! If it is, get her back..LOL I like the 72, and the slim for sure. Going to the dealer today, want to see both of them. If I could afford it, I would for sure love to have that 72. But think I would get the 883 low. Always liked that one. I think $10500 is a little stiff for the 72.

Sat on the 72 yesterday....man I wanted one to ride around town! I also love the 48. Either one of these sporsters would be fun to have in the corral. Told the better half we need either next to the RKC. Gotta win that lottery....

I saw the 72 this week also. That red is beautiful. Luckily I can never seriously conside one. I live 100 miles from the dealer. I told them that any bike that I could not ride from the dealer to my house without stopping to fill up was just to ridiculous to even consider. They had to agree.

Here is the REAL '72 Sportster. My brother has this exact bike, in this color, which him and I did a down to the frame restoration of back in 2006:

And here is what the Touring bike was in '72. Only ONE model available back then:

I would have to disagree with you Leo. I think the sportster is a legend. I love my RKC, but would get a sportster to bang around town. Harley has hit the nail on the head with the designs they are putting out. XR1200X, 48 and 72 are very cool looking bikes!

Its funny you think a flat black bike looks "old school" even though they were almost never seen in the 60's-70's. Yet you cant appreciate a classic flake paint job.

WTF is with all this "wanting a second bike to ride around town"? You cant ride the one you have now around town because why?
