Default Shorter Jiffy Stand

I've lowered my front 1" and the back 1" on my 2011 Electra Glide Ultra. Stock jiffy stand is OK so long as you're not parking your bike on a sloped parking stahl with the jiffy stand uphill in which case you're a little nervous as the bike is not leaning over that much. I ordered from Dennis Kirk a 2009-later 1" shorten Arlen Ness jiffy stand. Now, I've read some threads were there was some complaining that the Arlen Ness Shortened Jiffy Stand was not really that short compared to stock. I believe these were mostly from Softtail owners.

I compared the my stock with the Arlen Ness and it's over 1" shorter than stock, installs easily and now I feel much more comfortable parking my bike with the jiffy stand uphill and have good lean to my lowered bike.

Just passing along the info for those of you that have lowered their bike and want to replace the stock jiffy stand with a shorter one.

If I should decide to lower my bike I would look at a jiffy stand for a
Road King Custom or another factory loward touring bike jiffy stand

I just bought the Arlen Ness 1" shorter from the Dealership and am picking it up today. I think it was like $96.00. Luckily I had a $25 credit.

I lowered my SG 2" in front 1" in rear and needed a shorter stand, got the shorter stand and was still to "straight up". A friend suggested we put more than the one washer behind the bolts that hold the mounting bracket to the frame. After putting on one then two we settled on three extra washers behind the bolts and now it sits like it should.

Ride safe

Reminds me that I too, need a shorter stand for my lowered bike. dealt with it last year, but it is a PITA trying to find the exact spot in the yard that I can even get the stand all the way down!
