I just recently got an '01 Road King Standard,on the back of the triple tree there are 2 switches, one chrome on the right side turns passing lamps on/off ,then there is a black plastic toggle switch on the left side, says on/off but I can not find anything coming on or going off when i flip the switch.any body know what it's for?It does have 2 wires leading from it but hard to tell where they go to.

On my 04 RK it is a spare switch.
Don't know if this helps.

It's an aux switch that does nothing from the factory. The other end is behind the panel under the seat. I have mine connected to a 12v outlet to charge my cell.

There is a 4 pin deutsch connector under the seat that you can connect an accessory to and that switch will turn it on and off.

I just wired up a USB plug to mine yesterday.

Extra switch for whatever you hook up to it.
