Probably the alarm drawing it down. In the winter a tender is a must especially in newer bikes that arm automatically.

Just decided to "pull the trigger" or rather click the clicker and ordered it, the Big Crank. They are out of them until tomorrow. So it should be a fresh batch... coming..

Sales guy said that you needed spacers with them but I don't hear anyone on here say that, so I'm thinking it must be for older models?

Got the 10 % too and ordered the Battery MINDER this time.

I know, you guys are sitting on the edge of your seats.(not) lololol...

I still have the same battery in my 07, started using a tender last year. Was getting a little concerned when I tried to start it recently, Did not want to kick over, put the tender on it, seems ok now.

After reading the info here, my battery had trouble kicking over on my 07 King. Original battery, bought new one from BatteryMart.com. After signing up for their email stuff, in the lower left corner, I got 10% off. I paid $88.16, shipping included. Ordered this morning, should be here tomorrow.

Thanks for the heads-up on the Advance Auto Parts battery. I pulled the original battery out of my '04 Road King late this afternoon and took it to Auto Zone assuming they'd have an East Penn-made AGM replacement battery, but I was wrong. My original battery performed well until I did a 95" upgrade with 26Ns and added compression last summer. The only maintenance I ever did on that battery was a 2A overnight charge mid winter and the night before Spring start up plus dielectric grease on the terminals.

I got 7 yrs out of the stock battery. Finally pulled the plug and put in a new one this year as I was having the same problem you are. Trying the new Ballistic T16 cell battery. It's a lithium, dry cell battery. supposed to never need a charge and will only lose about 10 percent over the winter. I guess we shall see. Hope I didn;'t just "drink the kool-aid". lol. Expensive but i figured if I don't have to replace it after a few years it would be worth it.

3.5 years....depending on the bike and equipment is probably good enough. My first battery lasted 4 years...considering I had 3 years of easy starts...the 4th year had the crank bang problem which probally took it's toll on the battery. Going on my second year with a new battery. Will test it at the end of the riding season and if it doesnt pass the check at rest 24 hrs later after fully charged test, I'll get a new one at the begining of the next riding season. The below check at rest chart is checked 24 hrs after fully charging. no load (disconnect from bike ) for 24 hrs.

Just did the same thing....same price !!

Battery was getting weak, would need charging after 1-2 days. Max voltage I got out of it was 12.5vdc right after full charge on a 2 amp overnight charge.(battery out of the bike) Put the Batt back in and checked my charging system today before I ordered....about 13.3 at idle and about 14.5 when increasing the RPM's using a fluke 77 meter.

After the charge, I left the battery out of the bike, then after work, checked the voltage, dropped down to 12.1
BTW- don't place your battery on the ground or concrete floor when doing this....all plastic tool box or wood blocks are good. Not sure the AGM batteries will drain out or not though, don't want to find out.
