Will have to agree with most cam choices here, Never hear bad things from either the woods or andrews cams other than the cost. I have used the 21H in my 09 96" with great sucess and a 54H in my 2011 103" was even better. Just got done installing a 48H in friends 2010 96" Ultra and it sounds great. The tuning will play a big part of the end result, we are all using PC-V with auto tune, it works very good as I would suspect other tuners do also. Getting rid of the cat pipe will cool things down and let it breath a little easier. Also a good air cleaner will help, also check out the Boyesen power wing intake. Hope you find your power grail.

Some good cams se 225..andrews 26 ,48 or 36 g,37g....gear driven cams..the woods 555.no...maybe a se cam plate, you don't have to worry about cam tenioners ,and it does matter the weight you are pulling..the 26 is made for your situation and andrews makes good cams and a bit cheaper

Well, here is the final costs for a gear drive Andrews 26 cam install and dyno tune for my 2004 95 inch Electra Glide.

Quick install pushrod kit TC8...$167.99
Install kit 99-06 gear drive...$42.95
Tappet set TC HP+...$159.95
Gear Drive TW26 Cam...$321.95
4- gear cam drive set 99-06...$449.95
Cam CVR Gaskt TC 99*...$7.79
2-Tappet CVR Gskt TC 99*...$4.50
2-O ring Oil pump inner seal SML TC 99*...$2.20
O ring oil pump outer...$1.76
5PK TC88 oil press bypass shim...$5.99
Used cam plate...$150
2-NKG spark plug...$7.60
Shop supplies and waste fees...$19.00
Labor- dyno tuning...$220 (before & after cam replacement)
Labor (cam replacement)(6hrs)...$480
Sales tax...$108.14
Total...$2149.77

I said I'd post my bill and I did.
I questioned him about the costs and he stood by his charges, guaranteed all work done and told me if I have ANY issues within the next year concerning any work he did, bring it in and he'll check it out and make it right. (even an oil seep)
I do feel he is a stand up shop and he hasn't stayed in business for 30 years by pushing shotty jobs out the back door. My bike sounds and runs awesome and best of all, this shop is 3/4 of a mile from my house.
BTW, the used cam plate was one taken from a motor that had 200 miles on it where another owner had some radical motor work done on his. My cam plate was defective and causing low oil pressure. I got all my old parts from this work and now I do feel comfortable with what I had done. The bike runs great and like someone else said, the whirl is assureance there is no chain issue in my cam case.

John Dude,
Great that your pleased with the results. Sounds as if he's a stand up builder, and will stand behind his product.
The ONLY thing that really matters, is the big grin on your face when ya twist the throttle.
Have fun... I sure have!

Hey John Dude, been a bit since anyone commented but you have gotten an education of how the intraweb is sometimes not the best source for feedback. You got a fine deal. You had two basic paths. A hydraulic conversion or going gear, and gear wins out overall for your situation. Most of these guys missed the gear drive part and were unaware of price difference and were way to quick to parrot info they read elsewhere. One guy doesn't even realize you have a 4" stroke and already are the same as a 103" in cyl. diameter.

HaPPy trails.

I am putting 26's in my 96, and yes it isn't costing me much as I have a late model engine. This is until I finish getting some spare jugs bored and putting in 10.5 comp pistons. Originally I got some 255's used but changed my mind and sold those for more for enough to buy the 26's new. Ebay. Will put either the new 251's or 54's in new build. I like wrenching. And the only way you really get off saving money is if you wrench yourself and buy other peoples stuff on Ebay. ($130 for new 251's, $190 for new 26H's)'

I may start buying and selling those EPA 255's though, people pay ridiculous prices for them on Ebay. Going with the herd.

Sash you will be well pleased my friend.
I just wish more guys would try this cam (204). there just seems to be a good combo with the 96" or the 103" engines that make these things rock. Price isn't through the roof as a [W] cam and they will run and pull awesome. 90hp and 102tq from a 96" ain't bad imo. And around 95hp and 115tq with a 103".
