Why are bikers following so closely? Were you cited for following to close?

Most of us aren't as perfect as you. We make compromises to gp with traffic flow and sometimes get screwed. OP, glad you are OK.

That's probably the stupidest response I could imagine, I ride a bike, I drive a semi, the latter I drive through every subtle major metro area in the US including Atlanta and Los Angeles, going "with the flow of traffic" and backing off to leave yourself a safe zone or an out is beyond being "perfect"

I hate to be the negative poster here, and I'm glad that the OP is okay, but tell me this, Mr. Gowiththeflo, is the OP or the traffic that was most likely tied up because someone wanted to save .00002 seconds instead of backing off a bit, in any better position than they were in when they left home? Did they save any time by keeping traffic flowing?

NO.

Drive safe, back off, and save a life.

Not to be an ***....but, ask yourself what you could have done differently to have kept that from happening.

Good you came out of it relatively unscathed. And we all will be there at one time or another.....Heard, say and believe this: It is not "if" but, "when". The front fender is about $450 from HD. I know...had to buy one because someone turned left in front of me from the right lane (one way multiple lane street and me in the left lane because my turn was coming up the next block).

Read a good story in a MC mag about accidents. Of course the writer had a point to make. I read and thought about the point and applied the principle to all the laydowns and accident I have had. Two months later, I avoided and passed through a major accident on the highway that I know had I not read and took to heart that story....I would probably be dead now.

God bless and watch your a$$ out there, the idiots are inbreeding. Great people until they get behind a wheel.

Two bikers in separate accidents were killed in Las Vegas this weekend. People do NOT pay attention.

Thank gawd for loud pipes, louder stereos, & swint LED accent lights !!!

We need all the help we can get !!

Glad to hear your body didn't get nearly as banged up as that fender!
