Where to get KPH speedo for Road king 2001
#11
The reason I took an interest in this thread is that in recent years my wife and I have started travelling in Europe. With an mph speedo in kph country and with speed limits being ever more tightly enforced, I reckon the time is right to do a little more than guess how fast we're going!

Also in some countries an imported vehicle will probably be inspected before being allowed on the street, so that may be why jemosand wants to do this.
it is mandated by law that the presence of speed cameras be posted about 1.5 Mi before the speed trap, don't ask me about the rationale behind this but it helps avoiding tickets if you read the signs.

So does my TomTom, but it isn't as easy to read as the speedo.
I have done the same, but in our travels we have come across more speed limits than I can fit stickers!
Thanks for the suggestions chaps. Looks as if Dawg has yet again come up trumps for the OP!
On my Ultra's speedo I stuck little triangles of reflective red tape on the glass, just 3 of them are enough at 30Mph(50Kph) 50Mph(80Kph) and 80Mph(130Kph) the latter being the maximum speed limit in Italy but here

They also make a sticker for your speedo that has KPH indications. Of course, not 100% accurate but close. I haven't found a vinyl one yet but I'm still looking. After so long in Germany I do the kph x .6 = mph without thinking about. Any place that sells motorcycle stuff usually has them under the glass w/ other small parts. Good Luck!

Just an FYI for those with '08 and up touring models, this speedo can toggle back and forth between KPH and MPH.
