Default Chrome Front End

I can get a Chrome Front End Kit for $509 installed. Is it worth it or would the money better be used on something else??? I can't really see it going down the road.

I was quoted about $260 more than that (installed) at Stn Mtn HD---i say it's worth it. Chrome is the new crack.

I just had Fraizers HD put the chrome front end on my black 06 street glide. Floating rotors also BH. It looks great. I think it is very much worth it if you have the cash to spend.

I'd do it myself. The labor isn't hard. You can get a set of take off legs chromed for $150-180. They likely will look a lot better than the MoCo's chrome legs. A lot of their's are wavy from too little polishing before chroming. You can get the fork uppers from Jireh Cycles for 25 bucks. Throw in some chrome axle spacers, chrome axle end caps, a couple of seals, some fork oil and your parts list will only be at about $250.00. While you are at it, buy 5 bucks worth of sandpaper and polish your stock rotors.

I am a little biased here but I think the Chrome Front end package on a black Ultra looks great......

Chrome makes the bugs wash off easier. Other than that I like the looks of the polished better.

I just installed a chrome front end on my StreetGlide and I really like it. HD should sent them from the factory with the Chrome front end IMO. We pay enough for these things as it is. I bought my lower legs off Ebay for $100 and add in the upper fork covers, axle covers, spacers, fork oil and seals and I have around $230 total invensted in mine. It's easy if you have the tools, or can be creative with some PVC, and a shop manual to look at for reference. That said $509 installed is alot better deal than what you will get around me. If that includes axle covers and spacers and you don't have the time or the ability to do it yourself I say GO FOR IT.

I think that the chrome front end really sets it off. And, as mentioned, the bugs come off easier.
