I built my own as a detachable fairing as I didn't want the guages. Just a fairing to provide cold weather protection (mostly for my hands as the RK windshield does a great job for everyother part of me) and a box to hold my amp and speakers for my iPod. I typically only want tunes when I am on long multi-day rides. I'm not one of these RK guys that puts on a detachable fairing and never takes it off. I only have it on for about 20% of the time.

Just another option.

 

Eventually I was thinkin about a batwing and rear tourpack and Im not interested in all the gauges.. if i want all those gauges to look at id climb into my cage, its the look I like the rest of that is window dressing.....my 02cents

OK OK, maybe not a factory fairing. I've been researching into all types. if I go aftermarket I think i'll go dead center cycles, theyre local for me which is a plus. And they seem to look pretty true to the HD origional...

 

BTW i'm new to the forum (less than 5 days) so I can't see pictures attached in posts yet

 

Love this setup. I'd even ditch 2 of the gauges and throw tweeters in there...lol

 

Would you please email me the directions as to how you did your fairing project? I have an 05 RKC abd just got inner and outer fairings. I just need some guidance before starting.
