Be careful when you mount the front. The arrows showing direction of rotation are very small and on the edges of the tread, not the sidewall. The tread looks as if it should mount with gooves in a "V" pattern when viewed from the front, however this is not the case. When mounted, the tread is an upside down /\ pattern like the Dunlop D408's. I've never understood how a tread pattern designed like this is able to channel water to the outer edges of the tire in the rain.

I put on a 140/90-16. I don't have any rubbing problems at all. I have over a quarter inch space between tire and belt. I have over 400 miles on the tire now. I really like the way it handles in curves, the EIII seemed a little better straight down the Interstate. But, I'll see how it does with a few more miles on it.

THANKS! I checked the Michelin site and the PDF shows the 140/90-16 for my bikes' rear tire too.
How many miles did you get out of the E111? I sort of do more commuting...vs. super fast highway. So maybe the MCII will be fine? Just reviewing your straight down the interstate comment. Seems like I see most posts refer to the MCII taking twisties very well.
It does not wander on the straights, right?
THANKS for your input!

Just pulled the trigger from Jake Wilson and got a 140/90B-16 coming my way. Not a bad price...figured get it before TIRES go up again! Plus I know I know need new rubber.
I don't mind getting dirty...any issues with me pulling the rear wheel myself? I have a great table/lift and plenty of tools. More concerned with the realignment. Figured I could run the wheel and new tire up to a local shop for install/balancing. And I may throw a set of new rear brakes on too. TIPS? How tight should belt be...etc?
