Default Replacement Windshields

I have now changed my windshield 2 times. I have a 8" Dark Smoked and 10" Dark Smoked Windshield that I bought from Pat and Robin at http://www.customflhtwindshields.net/ . They have a cool design which they refer to as half moons which are about 2" wider on each side. They have been great to deal with as far as customer servive and offer a great product. The wider windshield in the Dark Smoke gives my Vivid Black a great look. I also added the Bar&Shield trim for a really cool looking front end. I purchased my 10" Dark Smoked Shield for about $$ 55.00 shipped to me. These are my chirstmas gifts to myself, since I am buying so much Thomas the Train for my son.

I like my clearview windshield. Its not as stylish, but its the perfect height...and there is no buffeting. I can hide beneath if I need to, and I can easily see over if need be. Much better than stock shield IMHO.

Don't want to high jack this thread but has anybody used the Cee Bailey's windshield on their EG? Wondering if the measurments they give on their web site are from the top edge of the faring to the top edge of the windshield. Kind of looking at that 7 inch, but I want to make sure that is 7 inch exposed. I have a 8 on there now but I think a 7 would be perfect.

Sorry PSO169

I have also got their windshields, I settled on 9" after having 10"and 8". They really make a difference on buffetting.

Check it out. I have the Cee Baileys 12" which is equal to OEM 9".

Jim, how tall are you? I'm trying to decide on the right size Cee Bailey (12 or 13"), and your mention that the 12" is equivalent to the 9" HD indicates this will be about right. I'm 5' 10". Does the wind flow above your helmet? Also, it's imperative to me that I see over the windshield.

[color=#3300FF]Go with a Tulsa windshield.

Just got a 12" with a vent. Not too shabby. Nice quality windshield.

I am 5'8" and I look over my windsheild by several inches. I wear a Bell Mag 8 helmet which has a built in/on visor. I catch absolutely no wind with the visor which is to say the wind goes right up and over my helmet. No buffeting either. They are pricey, but to me it was worth it. There is a little distortion if you have to look thru the WS but that is about 2% of the time.
