Default How to enlarge small gauge hole in fairing?

I need to enlarge one of the small 2" gauge holes in my faring about 1/16 to 1/8 inch for aftermarket gauge.

Anyone have a good/easy method to do it?

Thanks

Masking tape and keyhole saw/drillbit... choose whatever exact diameter you need.

2 inch 12 gauge seems appropriate - just vary the distance

I'd agree. Considering what your trying to do a step drill won't be big enough and a hole saw would be uncontrolable.

I'd use a 1 7/8" drum sander and a slow speed drill motor to enlarge a 2" hole in plastic or fiberglas.

The gauge holes have a notch that might catch a step drill, and a 2" step drill is not a common or cheap tool. Slow speed sanding drum is a very good idea, if you got more time than money a coarse half round file should do the trick also. What gauges you using, always interested in real custom mods?
