Default buying rinehart true duals...what if i dont like it?

my question is what if I get the 4" and decide they aren't loud enough and want to put a 3.5" muffler on it? I want the classic true duals. Am I able to just buy a couple mufflers and swap em? Thanks guys!

I don't think it'll be a problem. I have V&H true dual head pipes and can mount any number of mufflers to them.

Rinehart sells two different size mufflers, and two different headpipe sized slip ons. double check and make sure that you order the correct size slip ons for the headpipes you chose. and you should be good to go.

go with V&H. better fit and equal or better qualify and some really good prices now if you shop. you will like them with any slip-on. ride safe and often.

If you mean buy 2 mufflers and try them and then swap them for free for 2 different sized ones to try, my guess would be NO.

I think you may be testing the limits of Rinehart customer service. The TDs have 2" headers, the stock muffler opening is smaller than that (like 1 7/8ths I think off the top of my head). So no, you couldn't just swap out to a different muffler. The slipons Rinehart sells are for stock diameter headers. Now maybe if you called their customer service they would hook you up, but like I said, you may be testing their generosity.

Yep, True duals headers are 2 inches...Rush does make a slip-on for those head pipes but that was all I was able to find. I ended up putting the stock front header and got a fulsac kit for the rear.

Agreed. I hated my Rinehart True Duals. I have Vance & Hines Power Duals now. I like the left side going under the frame. Didn't like the way Rinehart came out of the back jug & down to the left. I'd rather have the left side go under the frame. Got rid of a whole bunch of heat too. (2011 103 Limited Ultra.)

i have the big shot duals now and dont like the way they sound. I have seen plenty of pics of the rineharts (2011 flhx) and i like them way better than the power duals. I am really just looking for that classic harley sound. im not racing it so the back pressure/dyno numbers dont interest me.

im not looking for anything for free, just an option so i'm not stuck buying a whole system again like with my V&H now

I've had Rinehart true duals on my 05 RK Classic since almost new & love them but as they were a little to loud I got the smaller baffles, 1/4" diameter difference if memory serves, which work & sound great & quieted my ride a bit when loafing through the gears but really roar when I twist the wick.
