don't try to out ride your talent. Theres cars and 18 wheelers on the dragon plus the rockets. The 18's take the whole road and any shoulder, if there is one, and most of the curves, or alot, you can't see around at all. You are in for a good time. Be safe, you don't want any of your bike parts hung on the tree of shame.

Hwy 28 ( Hellbender/ Moonshiners hwy) from Fontana all the way to Wallhalla SC...then go to Franklin and find Wayah rd...#1310 all trhe way to Andrewsthen go to Murphy i think and you can take 68 to telico plains and them back to Sevierville. As others have said Foothills parkway, Cherohala Pkwy. Blue ridge pkwy....There are so many little roads that you can just turn on...Get a good atlas...Don't plan too much...Have fun..If you've never driven in the hills PLEASE take you time...The curves sneak up on you really fast....I go 2-4 times a year at least...fun but it can be real dangerous if you don't respect it...

If you have some spare time, try a day trip to Helen, GA... nice little town with a German/Swiss Alps feel and looks to it with plenty of fun things to do... oh, and very biker friendly. The ride there and back is very much like the Dragon without all the traffic or LEOs...

Wife and I go to Pigeon Forge / Gatlinburg each year and stay in a cabin. We book through American Patriot Getaways. Get on their email list and a couple times a year they'll send you a notice of their 50% off specials. That gets the cabin rental down below hotel rates.

If we're going to ride the Dragon we stay in Robbinsville at the Two Wheel Inn. Nice folks, close to Deals Gap and very motorcycle friendly.

Traffic between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg anytime after around 10am is crazy. If you're going this route take the new bypass off 441 to get around Gatlinburg go up over Smokey Mountain State Park and into Cherokee.

Plenty of great rides in the area..but like others have said ride your ride and don't let the roads ride you. Stay to the inside on blind corners, especially on Dragon and Wiers road....too many cagers and other bikers will be in your lane coming the other way.

Pics of cabin I stayed and yes...it's at end of gravel and dirt downward driveway and me on Dragon this past Labor Day weekend..
