Do a search on this forum ... I remember some time back there was a thread about this. Comments were not favorable as I can remember.

Principle seems sound tho... I have never seen a bike with this installed.
Has your friend thought about lowering his bike ?

Guy named Pete G designed this. He owns a shop down the street from me and is a straight up guy. Leg up works great but the only proiblem I see is the default position is up so if you stall at a redlight it won't go down.

I'm all about a product that allows somebody to keep riding if they otherwise couldn't because of injures etc....seems a bit extreme because he's vertically-challenged. Nobody (well, very few) can actually hold up one of these beasts. It's about balance and experience.

Training wheels. Last time I used them I was about 4 1/2 years old!

Seriously thou, the guy across the hall at the hotel we were staying in at Sturgis had them on his rig. Nice guy and a double leg amputee!!! Rode his bike from Florida and he had nothing but nice things to say about the legup system.

I have seen them for sale and demonstrated at the Laughlin River Run.

They are not hidden. But appeared to function OK.

Not sure who short your friend is. I am 5'5" and ride a Limited. I have Profile Lowers in the Rear & the Standard Reach seat. More than enough to be flat footed and comfortable at stops.

The legs will go down if you push the button It takes a bit of battery juice, so when you first start your bike then acctivate the Leg up. As far as stalling goes, here is the way it works. first when you start to stop at a light the wheels will start down at about 6-7mph. You will have your wheels down until you reach about 8-9 mph. your wheels would still be down if you stall because you will not have reached that speed to stall. I am 86 and have a sportster. A bad leg is the reason i put the Leg up on my XL1200C. In bumper to bumper traffic I travel as slow as i can to keep the wheels down and have my feet on the floorboards. turning is slow a little more because the wheels will flex but not as much as you would lean normally. after you reach 8-9 mph the whels retract and you have you lean back fully. I have used them for 2 years and love them. Ride Safe

I have them installed on my 2005 Road King. I really like them, don’t use them much but I figured that at my age (83) I’m bound to need them soon.
