Although mine are not studded, they are the best bang for the bucks you could spend. "No More Fried Thighs" is not just some BS slogan, they work as advertised and look way better than the plastic versions. They have the look that goes with the lines of the bike and match the seat texture. Made out of aluminum and covered with a vinyl type material. On my 2007 (later years mount differently), they attach with Velcro and have a hole with an insert that you can use a zip tie to to fasten them to the wire tray that goes down the frame backbone. Simple to install if you follow the directions. I have also installed them on my buddy's 2009 SG.
