Firstly, to the OP, its a frikken motorcycle, you will get hit with wind on a bike.

Secondly, the RG is the product of a Ultra and a GW having unprotected sex.

Thirdly (is that a word?) Yeah I noticed that, I also notice that car carriers have the worst turbulence.

Where the hell is this Saskatchewan place you speak of, Asia Minor?

If you ride faster you will deal with less total wind turbulence.

I hate car carriers and tankers, especially the dry bulk units with all the hoppers, man they suck to get near. My RK did OK with just a windshield, the batwing does take a bit of getting used to as to turbulence but it has always been managable so far.

I installed the HD windsplitter at the dealer the day I bought the bike. Was considerably more stable than any bike I had ridden going 80 down the interstate. Second trip out to sturgis I bought a flat 10"? Shield for the ride. Hated it. Bike felt flighty and steering was loose. Haven't used it since. The windsplitter acts like a spoiler and pushes the forks down. Definitely need to lower the seat or be short thouggh.

Brawler seat and I'm 6'1. Wind just touches the top of my head. Rain is a bitch however. Hard to slouch down and hide compared to the tall windsail.

Just a thought KWC - double check your tire pressure. If its too low (or high), that may magnify the problem when you hit a gust. Other than that, batwing will do this... don't fight it, as Capt. Jack said, twist the wrist and ride through it.

Yep, the wind moves the Ultra around a lot. My Sporty isn't affected much at all by winds. The Ultra gets blown around all over the place. You would think the opposite.

The reason, after the looks, why I don't like fairings of any kind.

Get some apes, a little wider, a little taller. I find the batwing to be excellent.
