A Torx variant, Torx Plus, introduced about 1990 when the original Torx patent was expiring, is designed to allow greater torque, and to minimize wear.[7] The specifications for these licenses are held by Textron. Standard Torx drivers can be used to drive Torx Plus screws, but not to full torque because of the loose fit. Torx Plus drivers will not fit standard Torx screws. They are shortened to "Torx TX".

Like everything else know what cha have and use the right tool for job. But if that fails use a BFH ( big phking hammer).

I think I paid less than 3 bucks for the s.s. button head allens.

Default never heard of torx+????

Could someone explain what a torx+ is?
How about pictures?
I have been in the auto industry for 30+ years and never heard of this.
I spent 3 years selling Snap On in the early 90's.
Never heard of torx +.
As said previously you need to have the correct size and there will be no issues removing the derby cover.

Not wanting to be a jerk to previous posters but please explain.

I too did the same thing.
Best part was that my maintenance shop stocks 1/4 thru 1/2 inch stainless, and I polished them at work

The T25 that does come in those sets, will fit (but its not a tight fit).
So, when you try to put any pressure on it it will strip the head.
This correct!

Notwithstanding the fact that I had no clue there was a T+ floating around out there, I had my local Ace order in a T27 screwdriver for me since they didn't stock it. $5 and use it all the time.
