...I have the HB lift...and personally would NEVER want to convert it to air..the thought of waiting for the air compressor to build up, with all the noise, and electricity wasted...dragging air lines across the garage floor..when I can jack the damn thing up by foot in about 30 seconds...I just don't get it...

Would something like this not work?

Personally, I wouldn't have an HF lift, but that's just me.

This is the Air/Hyd pump from my Atlas 1500, Air operated Hydraulic pump, 1500lbs rated

my Harbor Freight lift came with both options -- I don't have an air compressor hooked up -- so I haven't used it yet

You can get the same one from HF for 134.00

I am very happy with this conversion. I run this on a 125 psi compressor. It will lift my Ultra classic at 80 psi with no problems. I left the outer case off the jack.

I will post more info on how to do the conversion this weekend. The Titan lift hydraulic jack is a direct replacement for the manual HF lift if you want the easy fix.

HF used to sell the air assist version, it no longer does.

As the OP posted Titan lift tables still offer it and I think parts can be ordered thru DiscountRamps.

I WAS going to do this with my previous HF table and then "stuff" got in the way.

Here is the air assist owners manual for the Titan lift.

http://www.lift-tables.net/pdf/titan...00l-manual.pdf

I had ordered my parts from HF. I ordered the hyd pump and air pump as a unit and ordered base #51 as that base is required to mount the pump and I needed part #19 as the air assist ram is larger than the hyd only one.

Like I say, I never got it done, sold the lift table and the parts and ended up buying another one about 18 months later. Now I'm thinking of doing it all over again. But this post looks like it would almost be easier to just plumb in an air pump.

Gonna have to study this some more.

btw the parts I got from HF, the pump came pretty quick, about 3 weeks. That base took exactly one year to the day.

Good luck getting from Discount Ramps. I emailed them about 2 weeks ago asking if that part was available to order and if so, how much. Customer Service emailed me back a couple of days later asking me what was my order number, as they couldn't find it in the system. I replied to them that I had not placed an order, I was inquiring about availability and price. I never got an answer.

Doncha just love it ? It looks like the conversion in this thread would actually be a lot simpler.
