Just installed Wild1's WO513 Chubby Baby Ape's (8.5"). They look very similar to Buckinfitch's bars. No cable change needed. A huge improvement over stock and Heritage Style. I'll try to get some pictures up in a few days, but for those considering Heritage Style, the WO513's may warrant a closer look.

Interesting. Perhaps I should have gone this route. I called Wild 1 and talked to a tech. I wanted the Wild 1 chubby 10" mini apes. The tech told me they would fit with no cable/wire mods. WRONG! I embarked on the job today and when I got to feeding the wires, then found out they were too short. A trip to Radio Shack and several hours later, 6" splits were put in. Unfortunately, that little detour meant I didn't get the job done before dark. Should finish this week. And while I'm happy with the bars, I'm really ticked off about the idiot at Wild1 that told me no mods were needed. I may have gone with the 8.5" otherwise.

I put the 10s on mine and definitely needed longer cables.

OK, here's some pics. Higher, wider, and more pullback than stock or Heritage Style, with the added benefit of being "Fat" with internal wiring. Stock clutch and brake lines. Super comfortable.

Thanks the Wild 1 Chubby 8.5" mini apes was exactly what I was looking for. Ordered mine from directcycleparts.com for cheaper than my "Gold Memebrship" from J& P Cycles. This thread helped me upgrading my handlebars which will be here Saturday. They look great on Road Kings. Not into Heritage or tall apes, just me. Now debating to get a back rest??
