Default Griots Polishes and Waxes?

Waiting on my Griots orbital polisher/buffer. Going to give my bike it's first annual SERIOUS detailing.

I am sure plenty of people will say "GLARE", and I might try that, but was wondering if anyone has used the Griots polishing and waxing products that might have an opinion on the results using them.

I went the Griots route a few years ago. Nothing bad to say about the product but don't really believe any better that other mainstream name brands. Haven't bought any since, too easy to get the others.

Would'nt use a orbital on my bike, I think you can do a better job by hand.

Don't use an orbital polisher on a bike. Use a microfiber pad and some really super mild polish like Meguiars swirl remover. Wash it clean and wipe it thoroughly first.

the best system ever. there buffer works perfect. it is made to use with there products, run the video disk before you start your polish and wax first time, great tips. if your bike is black it will make it look like glass no swirl marks at all. people ask me all the time how i get the vivd black to look so good. do not try to use the best of show wax by hand to put it on that is. taking the wax of is not a problem. the polish does just that it will even remove some what deep scraches too.

Griot's markets some great products, you can't go wrong with their stuff. You may spend too much, but you can't go wrong.

You'll have to post some pics when she's all cleaned up.
I've been thinking about getting a Griot's orbital as well.

Has anyone used their spray-on wash?
I was thinking if it works well, that might be great for cleaning the bike while it's sitting in the garage over the winter.

You'll love the 3" Griot's. As far as polish or compounds go for bikes, I like the Pinnacle XMT kit. Here;s a hint - mark the backing plate with a marker so you can tell if it stops going round and round. Sometimes it's hard to tell. Bigger hint - DO NOT take buffer off until it completely stops. Don't ask me how I know!

i was thinking about the 3" buffer. I have used their products, they work well. I have used an orbital buffer on my cars for years for " wax on-wax off" and they do way better application and take off than doing the process by hand.

I had vivid black on my 07 flstf- it was a chore to maintain.

cheers,

mark

A couple guys say not to use an orbital on a motorcycle, why not? I have the Griot's 3", it works better than by hand any day of the week.
