Question Lost Tranny Vent Tube - idea's

Lost Tranny Vent Tube, no idea where it went, arrrg...

Anybody running a aftermarket set up ? Pictures would be great

Harley for the pre-bent tube. Not sure why they do not use a spring cap but some implied it was internal? Remember it vents primary also.

Looks like my 2007 FLHX set up, these new '09 is just 1 Vent tube , no threads just a open hole...

Just a chunk of hose will do the job.

Just go to your dealer and pick one up.... they are about 4 bucks.

My 04 is just like picture to right. Just an inverted formed hose. At minimum you do need the inverted formed hose. That is why I would bite the bullet and get it at Harley. The spring vent valve I show is what is on your typical car/truck manual transmission or differential. My 4x4 has them with a tube attached to that and extended up about 2 feet. It allows vent out but in theory at least prevents water entry and small critters?. HA

You might put a clamp on the new hose. Now that this has happened to you, I'll check mine and clamp it before it falls off.

$3.89 7-10 days looking for aftermarket....looks like theres none...i'll buy 2

Hose will not stay on '09 up models.....

Never had a problem with the vent tube hose on my 09.
