I posted a thread asking why an Electra Glide would be a touring top pick......and I get the idea from the shear number of people that responded assuch that the overwhelming majority of folks feel the Road King is the best touring class out there. So heres my question......now before we get started Im not looking for war....I do not wanna know why some like Ultras or why some like SG's.....I wanna hear from RK owners on this.........

Is the reason the RK reigns supreme because of the set up......the look.....the ride.......what makes it so much better? Judging by volume I can tell many many people feel this way.......Im just curious....seriously not ragging here I respect it.....I have to know because aside from asthetics most bikes in the HD touring line up respective of the frame, shocks, and chasis etc are all essential very similiar if not the same as other touring bikes in this class.....so tell us RK owners what makes the RK the King of the road and why?

I almost want to start a pool to see how long it takes some douche bag to turn this into a flame war and start bragging about their precious Gold Wing or other bike.....but I shall resist....which Im willing to bet they cant.

I'll say this. If I wanted a stereo on my bike, I would prefer a 'Glide. But I don't.

The Road King can eat all the miles I can feed it with a style that appeals to me.
