Best Sounding/Performance Slip-ons
#15
Something to keep in mind when you are at a rally listening to slip-on's.....
1. The cubic inch and cam of the motor make a HUGE difference in the way a particular exhaust sounds. Always ask if its stock, or what cubic inch someone is running, and if it has cams or not.
2. The Head-pipe ie; Stock, True Duals, 2-1-2 set, etc.
3. How many miles are on them.... a set with 30k miles will sound different than a set with 500 miles.
I've run CFR's on several different setups now, and I've been happy with every configuration. My CFR's were almost tame on an '85 80" EVO, but on a '09 110" CVO with Power Duals, they would blow your mind! On a '06 with a 95" they were my idea of perfect.... Doesn't wake the neighbors at 5:00 am, but crack the throttle and the rattle the glass on every house on the block.
Granted.... just my .02
Worst part about it, pipe are such a personal choice in terms of sound, you are going to have to simply hear as many in person as possible before making a choice. And NEVER trust YouTube for a final decision.

I'm also looking for a set of mufflers. I don't want the loud drone anymore. Would it be possible for you to post a sound clip of your Jackpots with the quiet baffle? Sure would be appreciated and helpful if its possible. Thanks Rick
With your Cobra true dual header, I would get FuelMoto's 4" Jackpot's with the quiet baffle. You'll get the deep throated harley growl you want without the raspy sound and losing low end. I've tried a lot of exhaust over the years and IMO you cant beat the quality, sound and price of Jackpot's.

I really like my Jackpots. With the FM map, they work better than the Samsons I was running. I gave the Samsons to my friend and he runs them on his Ultra and loves them. He pulled a set of Supertrapps off for the Samsons.
For me, the Samsons were too loud. The Jackpots are deeper and I feel the torque difference. Just my $.02
