Default How do you Northern guys stand it?

I know a lot of you don't get to ride for months at a time. Some of you, no doubt, use this time to install "winter mods" to pass the time away. I just installed my Bagger Brace and it's been raining for the past two days so I haven't been able to do a test ride it to see if it is all everybody says it is. The forecast calls for rain for the next two days, so the earliest I will get to ride is three days from now. The wait is driving me crazy. How in the world do you Northern guys cope with not being able to ride after you've installed your new accessories?

Have a few necessary trinkets to install over the winter and getting a hip replaced on Monday. Gotta have a sturdy left leg to plant and hold this beast up. That's what's winter is for.

So do I. I'm slowly slipping into the land of straight jackets and rubber rooms!

Default Northern Winters

It's not as bad as you might think. Here in good ol' NY we have our taxes to keep us busy, extra time to catch up on our Forum surfing, reading new oil threads and the like. Realistically, it's the perfect time to get those parts installed and projects done that we either did not have time to get to during the riding season or just some routine things to keep the bikes running.

I can't say for anyone else, but my riding season here in lower NY runs from April into November with a 3-4 month layoff depending on the weather. I was out on New Year's Day and today we're getting about 6"-8" of snow, go figure. The winter passes and gives us an appreciation looking forward to the Spring.
