Is what it is....we get our ba$$s busted by Florida friends we have. We drink..we look forward to the occasional freak weather day that occasionally pops up where we get to go out. Before you know it (kinda sorta) it's March....then it ain't long till were back on the road.

Up here we have a very different opinion on acceptable weather. I regularly ride when the temps are in the 30's and if it is raining, so what. A few years ago I got overly ambitious and got my bike stuck in a snow drift while riding. I hit a slick spot on the road and rode off the edge and wedged it into the drift. I got off of it and the bike did not even fall over. It was actually pretty funny.

I usually sit in the La-z-Boy with a glass of whiskey, can of cashews with my laptop.....TV on, and shoot rubber bands at the two cats an da-o-lady when they pass by.

I'm in the UK and our weather is a bit more like the north of the USA but nowhere near as extreme. We have it cold with some snow each year - last year was exceptional - we had about 6 weeks when it never got above freezing usually it's only for a few days at a time. My rule is not to ride if there's salt on the road - once they salt you stay off until it's rained a few times - that's just to protect the bike. I'll ride below freezing - so frost is OK but not if there's ice and snow (or salt). Was out last weekend when max temp was 41F but was mostly colder.

Riding in the rain is something you need to do in the UK (unless you're gay of course) but it does make you a better rider.

Basically, do a lot of google searches to see if I can find a good set of assless chaps or fingerless gloves. You'd be amazed how many websites there are for these!
