Zumo GPS ever fall out of Holder?
Just installed the Harley Handlebar mount for my new Zumo 660.
It seems to lock in to the holder fairly well, but I'm looking for some sort of "fail safe" just in case it pops out.
Thought about some sort of "Lens Cap Keeper" like you would use on a Camera so you can't lose the Lens. The GPS doesn't have any way to attach anything to it that I could see, so the Lens Cap Keeper would have to attach with 3M tape.
Anyone figure out a way to save the $500.00 GPS if it happens to pop out of the holder?

+1...have the HD fairing mount for the Zumo 550 and it locks in rock solid. You have to lift the release handle to get it out. If your HD mount is similar I wouldn't worry about it popping out during anything you would regularly encounter on the road.

Google Zumo tether you'll come up with several answers. Here is one simple cheap one.

If you want really secure and ugly look at this.

And a other option from the Zumo forum see pictures.

Mine fell out one time a luckily fell in my lap as I was going down the road and was able to snag it before it hit the ground. The little locking tab gets dirty or weak and I have to remember to push it shut or it will fall out. I will be doing a tether on it. Thanks for the idea.

At least on my 550 you cannot put it in wrong and still have the top lock close. Once it is in properly you must screw down that impossibly little screw with the impossibly unhandy screwdriver. So, I just ordered a knurled screw replacement from Touratech, cost $7 plus shipping.
Also you should call them and ask for USPS shipping ($4.95). Otherwise you will pay $12.95 shipping for a 7 dollar part.
