So many good bikes so little money and time. The day I do not appreciate all bikes is the day they carry me away. Been addicted to them since 1972 and I have not grown up yet.

Having several different brand bikes and participate in many different forums, this forum does seem less forgiving than others if you want to leave the hd family. The OP right now feels it ain't the bike for him but loves riding .... FFS what is the problem ? If he was putting crap on hd that's a different story

I have two street bikes, my street glide and my 06 zx10r. They are night and day different, both fun as hell. You can get a four year old liter bike for five grand. I'd say reconsider man... Expand your stable.

I really like the suggestions of a less expensive used sport tourer,
and you keeping your beautifully customized Street glide. IJS

like i stated before if it was in the cards i would probably consider that.

I am starting a business up, and that 3 -5k id use for a used sportbike needs to be spent elsewhere.

im sure ill be happy with the multi, at this point its a decision of the S model or not lol.

if heard pros and cons of both...

a con for the S (electronic ohlins suspension) is if there is a suspension issue it will cost major bucks to fix. didnt really consider that.

and anyone who owns a standard model is more than happy with there suspension.
obviously it will be leaps and bounds above the harley suspension, so ill probably be overly happy with it coming off the SG.

if i find a good enough deal i may still do a S model though

i would like to say thanks for the kind words guys.
there is a solid 90% of people on this site that have alot of good things to say, alot of good info to share, and are great contributers to the community. I have learned alot, and got alot of good information from this site and that 90%.

the other 10% i disregard

Just looked up the Multistrada.

That is one ugly motorcycle.

I suppose as long as none of your mates see you it would be fun!

my buddy has one and if his mates are riding Harleys he won't worry about it he will be going so fast. they look very good in person. My biggest issue is they are $$$$ and also not that easy to do your own maint. on compared to other bikes.

Dont get mad, I'm not trying to be a know it all. Just curious how your planning to trade for the Multi without coming up with 3-5k?
