I would suggest wearing them...... if you don't, well don't worry about it. You will eventually get used to the constant ringing and the missed conversations.... In addition, what did you say? will soon become a common phrase in your vocabulary and eventually your wife will give up trying to communicate with you..... (you get to take the good with the bad)

cheers,

mike

Always when wearing my half helmet. I had a problem with them not staying in when I would don my 3/4 helmet, so I quit using them with the 3/4 even though I would like it to be more quiet.

I wear them whenever I ride. Occasionally I will forget and take a few block ride without on the SG but always if I am going over a mile. On my RK, I had to wear them as the fishtails were LOUD! On the SG though, I agree that i can hear the stereo much better with them.

Currently wearing the 33 db orange foam ones but looking at getting a set of custom molded ones. One of the ladies we ride with got them and she swears by them.

I've never had any problems with wind noise, but then again I can't put my finger in one ear and have it stick out the other side either !

For short rides, I typically don't bother. But, if I'm going out for the day, I'll put in a set of the orange foam ones. My buddy has the fitted ones and loves them. I"ll go that route before the real riding season starts.

I won't ride without my custom-fitted earplugs. They cut out the wind noise so I can hear traffic better.
