I picked up one of these Intercom System Adapter with some good ear buds.
I figure if I'm going to put plugs in, I might as well squirt a little music in at the same time.

If I remember to put them in, I will. I have custom musician molds and I use it to block the wind. The wind noise in my full face helmet is just so much louder than my half helmet.

I have a pair of accoustially neutral rodie plugs I wear all the time. You still hear everything.....just at lower volume.

Ear bud headphones or foamy plugs. Never ride more than a mile without one or the other. 27 years working around jets, my ears ring bad enough, wind noise just ads fuel to the fire.

I had a pair of custom molded ones made for a ride to Michigan and they were great. I don't wear 'em much around town, in fact they're in my ammo box cos i use 'em regularly at the gun range now

I was a wrench for many years on heavy equipment, 35% hearing loss already with my ears ringing constantly and gets worse if I don't use plugs while riding, never leave home without them anymore.

I've always used ear protection from the wind noise, Already have hearing damage from life would like to keep what I have left. With the right protection you can still hear someone speaking, horns honking, and sirens coming up from behind. Hearing damage is something that you will not notice until it's too late, if I'm ridding around the beach not going more than 35mph I will ride with them out but I will pull over and put them in if we end up heading out on the highway.
