What have I changed.
1. Exhaust
2. Air Cleaner
3. Tuner
4. Painted inner fairing (should come that way from the factory)
5. Diamond clutch/brake cables (mostly due to changing out handlebars).
6. Handlebars & Grips (chubby 12.5---wo577). Function over looks to relieve neck & shoulder pain.
7. Seat (mcc custom on an 08 RG seat). Function over looks as stock is crap.
8. Mustache bar (I just like the look better than round stock).
9. Rear passenger footboards (just more function than looks)
10. Clearview 8" windshield (more function than looks).

Future changes

1. New front fender (I want a hugger. Changing mostly due to chips on current fender.)

Texas Steve,

I also have a SG, 2010 ... can you tell me where you found your "Street Glide" chrome front fender name plates? I'd also like to add a fender tip but can't locate the right one in Kurykan for my 2010 SG. Any help you can provide is appreciated.

Thanks! Angie

What did you add and why?
1. Tourpak (partly for the comfort of the wife)
2. Chrome front forks
3. Customized Mustang Seat
4. Compact Rider backrest
5. Passenger floorboards (comfort for the wife) and chrome covers for them (bling)
6. A GOOD shift linkage
7. Standard shape forward mount floorboards (forward mount swept not available then)
8. Chrome brake/clutch levers and switch housings
9. Painted inner fairing
10.Windsplitter shield and fairing air deflectors
11. Turn signal and headlight trim rings
12. Skull floorboards, pedals, grips
13. tour pak liner
14. 18" 2010 FLHX front wheel (got a good deal or would have stayed 17")
15. Soos floorboard extenstions
16. Engine guard driving lights (as much for visibility as extra light)
17. Frame mounted heat deflectors
18. Super Tuner and dyno tune (performance and less heat)
19. Vance and Hines monster ovals (love the look and sound, added some power too)
20. Cyl base cover and inner primary cover (bling)
21. Premium tourpak hinges (stock are so cheezy looking)
22. Billet rear brake lever (stock is so cheezy looking)
23. Chrome windshield trim (bling)
24. FLHX mirror chrome covers (bling)
25. Chrome dipstick (had to get rid of the one DULL looking part on the motor)
26. Hog tunes Ultrasound rear speakers/amp/front speakers
27. Bike had cruise control, security, and ABS as delivered
28. Rear turn/brake light controller/red lenses (safety)
29. Skull highway pegs
30. Radio trim plate and indicator lamps bezel (bling)
31. Polished front brake rotors (bling)
32. Chrome spears on saddlebag lids (bling)
33. Chrome voltage regulator cover (bling)
34. Chrome brake screen inserts on front (bling)
35. Chrome rear speaker trim (bling)
36. Chrome headbolt covers (bling)
37. Furry four legged alarm/security system (see last photo) "Snoopy"

Considering:

1. Custom handlebars (really like the Klockwerks Ergo back, Wild1 chubby, and Kromewerks sweepers, but they are all too WIDE for my taste)

2. Garage Door opener
3. Tourpak power outlet
4. SE255 cams (pretty much talked myself out of modding the motor on this one though)

Somewhat considering:

1. Klockwerks front fender (level)
2. FBI chin spoiler

Wild *** contemplating:

1. A few custom made parts that Im keeping to myself until they come into being (potential to offer them for sale)

I originally had the heavy breather intake, but went back to the football cause to me, while it looked great with the tourpak off the bike, (it was detachable at the time) it just did not seem to fit the look with the tourpak ON. Since I decided to change to a fixed mount tourpak, I went back to the football. Better legroom as well.

As for the inevitable "why did you not buy an Ultra" question: I don't like two tone or pinstripes, or saddlebag rails, or pancake turn signals, or passing lamps, or the Ultra wheels/white stripe tires, or fender trim, or stock seat, or tourpak brake lights,
or stock black gauges, and have no use for Lowers, intercom, or CB. Wife hated the rear crash guards on my 2 Classics I had before the SGs.

I LIKE the clean look of the SG. (even with the trunk added) And the wheels, gauges, tank console, and rear fender facia.

A lot of things listed here as well but pertains to all touring models. Still makes for interesting reading...
