Default Need throttle by wire help!!!

I have a 2010 road king police bike, and i am adding apes and need to extend the wires.. it looked to me that my throttle by wire has eight wires in it, and from what i read only six are mentioned.. do i have two extra due to some police bike option?? can the black wires be combined?? I swear my plug had white, black, blue, gray, red, purple, black and brown.. B/R's bars that made my apes ran blue, gray, red, purple, black, and brown which seems to be the norm..What are the white and extra black for?? I have one extra wire run so if i can doulbe up the black (ground?) i should be good..Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

2 of the wires are for heated grips I believe. On mine there is a 6 pin green connector and a 2 pin black connector.

I just change my bars. There is a pair of wires which go nowhere. Just connect the other set.

They are for heated grips. Don't connect them unless you have heated grips. I put heat shrink on mine.

Are there instructions online explaining how to easily pull those wires through? I've been asked for some hints but I've never messed with them before. What did you use, a single wire that you taped them to, or another method?

Thanks!

I had the same question about that two pin plug. Couldn't for the life of me remember where they went. Of course I tore it down 2 weeks ago while I was waiting, so I figured it was my screw up. This is why I love this forum, there is always good info on here, just have to search for it!
