I'm pretty sure Iron Cross is an authorized warranty repair shop, but the jobs come in through the dealership. At least that is the way I understand it.

Iron Cross Audio did the rear Aux for me back in Oct. 09 and it's worked great. An added plus is not having a cable attached to the face of the radio--a Plus!

ICA does do repairs under the Extended Service Plan HD sells--don't know about repairs under MOCO's warranty.

Hey, if you want to keep taking your bike back to the dealer for inferior repairs rather than spending ~$45 plus shipping to "cure" the problem, go for it. At some point, your warranty will expire and you'll still have the problem. Personally, I'd rather not have my bike at the dealership knowing I'll get an inferior repair that will almost certainly reoccur.

Hope your dealer can get a good "fix."

As for the DIY option of installing the Aux in the rear, there are instructions on how to do this--my buddy used them successfully after I showed him the info. Me, I'm not cutting circuit boards or soldering wires to them.

I think MOCO's repairs are done thru/by United Radio.
I left a Hendrixs cd in a the radio on my Road Glide.That radio was replaced with one of the wonderful refurbed units.United Radio sent my CD back to me.

You know what Carl...that's a very valid point about the inferior repairs and constantly having to have a recurring issue.

Don't know if it is related but I bought a 3.5mm jack when I installed my Zumo. Had the same problem. The issue was that I didn't have the proper plug. It requires a specific stereo plug. A mono or other type will produce this problem as well.

Just a thought.

We are not the HD/HK refurb facility....please do not confuse us with them.
Some HD dealers do elect to use us for extended warranty claims.

The aforementioned repeat defect on the aux connector is a result of the refurb facility not addressing areas in the radio that at this point should be known issues to them.

As part of our repair process, we put every radio through an update and mod program addressing all of the potential physical, electronic, and software issues. This attention beyond just the defect the radio was sent in for is why we can offer a 1 year warranty compared to the 90 days you get from the refurb facility. We also offer a lifetime re-repair discount after the warranty is expired to any customer whos radio has gone through our program.
