I use pledge too. Also I found a old bottle of yamaha wind shield polish. Don't know if it was the polish (frozen a few times) or the micro fiber I was using but ended up with swirls and fine scuffs and scratches all across the shield. Was considering a new one when I saw "Novus" at the dealer. Don't remeber the $$ but it wasn't enough to stop me. Then I noticed step 1,2, and 3 geees! I only bought 1 & 2 cleaner and fine scratch remover. After soaking with peroxide & water(bugs) I used the Novus. Xtremely happy with the outcome. Looks better than I thought it would...no need to purchase another shield. I will still use pledge too, but I try to soak and spray/rinse as much off before rubbing with anything.

The only negative thing that I can say about lemon Pledge is that bee's are attracted to it. I told my wife that and she laughed at me until she saw for herself. Several times at stops the bike gets swarmed. We put our helmets on the handle bars at stops and we always check the inside before putting them back on our heads. But Pledge do make the bike shine.

I used (and liked) Honda spray cleaner for many years. Then, I read all the talk here on the HD Forum about Pledge and decided to try some. It is "Da Bomb"! I think it works better than the Honda stuff and is lots cheaper and universally available. Tip...get a pack of the Pledge wipes and keep in your saddlebag along with a microfiber towel. They are great for cleanups while out on the road...especially the windshield.
