Thumbs down Wire extension 4 my new Apes.

Guys, I don't know if any of you have ever used NAMZ Custom Cycle 15" Handlebar Wiring Extension Kit J&P Part: 300-243 to extend your wires? I would suggest "don't" these things suck!
They are supposed to be plug and play. However, after you make the connections to extend, they won't go through the opening on the bars because all of the joints end up beside each other making the wires to large to fit. I would have thought they would of been staggered so they would fit. I should have saved the $50.00 and done the extensions the way I always have, by soldering longer wires and staggering the joints!!!!

Lesson learned!!!

Sorry, had to vent!!!!

Could you put the extensions on the ends after they are through the bars?

I have the namz extensions and was able to get them through the bars with no issues. I staggered them slightly, then heat shrinked the whole bundle.

I recently installed a set of 12" Yaffe monkey bars on my 2011 SG.I bought Namz wire extensions but i bought i think it was the builders set.Didn't want plug and play but wanted the factory color matched wires.
Staggered my solder joints and worked out great. Tough for a company to sell plug & play for bars weather it be Namz or anyone else since there are so many variations.Doesn't make it right they should disclose that it may not really be plug and play.

Everything is here, took the harness apart, put it all back together with the novello kit. Started fishing it through the bars and now its all stuck and won't go in or out. EFF this.Thinking about looking for a shop tomorrow who will fish the wires through for me.

Used the Namz. Just do not like the fact they just plug in loose. thought they would lock to each other.

Shrink wrapped each wire and the whole bundle. Hope it stays together.

Next time I will cut and solder using a staggered pattern.
