Default Are 07 Ultra Upper Fork Slider Covers Chrome??

The reason I ask this is because I purchased what I thought were chrome upper fork slider covers off ebay to replace my stock covers. But when comparing what I have on my bike to what I recieved, I see no difference? In addition, I just installed chrome lowers and the cow bells do not appear to be the same quality/shine as my lowers.

Thanks,

Scott

I always see non chrome cowbells on eBay advertised as chrome. They are usually takeoffs that were replaced by chrome and put back in the new box.

The stock cow bells that come on bikes with polished lower legs are stainless. If you look real close you can see minor polishing marks on the cow bells. Chrome bells & legs look like a mirror when cleaned. Just put something you know is chromed up against the polished units, it stands out. Many have put chrome bells on bikes w/ polished lower legs. My 07 SG has polished legs & cow bells.

Some people will try to fool you with stock polished stainless steel cowbells, but you can tell they are not chrome if you look close, you can see the polishing marks, chrome has none, just put them next to a chrome piece, and it's becomes very obvious!

Default Got Lucky!!!

I sent the person on Ebay that sold me these "polished" stainless cow bells and he has agreed to refund me the cost plus shipping for these. I will send these out in the mail tomorrow and cross my fingers that he refunds me the cost.

Yup, I stand corrected. Always thought they were chrome. Only had the bike 5 years.
