No clue? Go figure. Any first year tech should know the weight of a fork oil they're working with, well, you would think anyway. I don't think you'd like the ride with that heavy oil up front.

yeah, and you'd think that any harley tech would know how to re-install a dipstick after an oil change and yet i found my wife's dipstick cross threaded and sticking up about an inch...

the really amazing part of this is that hd does not sell a 30wt fork oil, so they were selling another brand vs their own.

I've been using 30wt oil in my wide glide for about 70k miles... I'm 280# so it rides nice to me. I think my Ultra has 20wt oil....

Might try that....

i've been using the se heavy and it works great in my streetglide. it removed the dive when coming to a stop using the front brakes, and improved the ride a lot. the 30 wt would be very stiff and i recommend against it. the se heavy is the best compromise for handling and cushiness in my opinion.

I ended up changing it out to HD E weight oil, I think it's 5 or 7 weight oil.

I like a firm ride and usually swap out springs and oil early in the ownership of my bike and on all 4 of my HDs Ive used the SE Fork oil (7.5) and in 3 Ive changed to Progressive springs
SE is 20wt. 30 is a firmer ride But you guys are being a little dramatic it takes a lot of slop out of the front end

Changed mine to SE Heavy here in Central Florida. Has worked well for me, eliminating the noticeable brake dive on my 07 FLHTCU.

Go w/a medium weight assuming that 5 would be light and 15 would be heavy.

I went with the 7.5 when I changed out my front end to chrome and monotubes and she is smooothe!!
