Default BRAKE UPGRADE

HI ALL, Anyone upgrade HD brakes on their bike??brembo calipers or rotors?
I have 07 ultra and want to do something with stopping power of this beast.
It will be nice to use one hand to pull the brake lever to stop.

thanks

While I do think the stock HD brakes will stop just fine for most people, sounds like you want more. Nothing wrong with that. While I haven't tried Brembo on a touring bike, I believe the Buells come stock with Brembo components. Those things have the best brakes on anything I have ever ridden.

I think you could improve your stock set-up fairly economically by adding floating rotors, Lyndall Racing Brake pads, stainless braided lines. Lyndall Racing also makes some really high end floating rotors that are supposed to be the cats a$$.

Braided lines and good ceramic pads will make them what you want.

Can somebody tell me what good a floating rotor is? I don't know and I'm just curious. Thanks , Stafford

This could be interesting tread, as I believe that we have all the brakes we need, now the proper use of them would be more informative.
