Default Rear Brake Squeak

I'm sure this has been covered numerous times on this forum, but...any way to rid the rear brake of a slight squeak? I have an '05 RK Classic with about 1500 miles on it. Thanks![8D]

If you can, try cleaning the rotors with some scotchbrite and if that does not do it, then take the pads off and clean them with some brake cleaner and then put them back on. Brake squeel is kind of normal with ductle iron rotors. If you want to stop it for good, you are going to have to upgrade to a better brake pad and floating rotors.

Good luck!

Scott,

I've heard that if you get up to "highway speed" and firmly (but do not lock the brakes up) apply the offending brake, this will sometimes remove the squeak. Any truth to this?[&:]
