Default Chrome throttle body cover Y or N?

Hello all. I just installed a Stage 1 Ness air cleaner on my RK and like many I don't like the looks of the electrical plug sticking out. Does anybody have first hand experience with the Harley chrome, (or gloss black), throttle body cover? Does it look alright and not another piece of cheap bolted on bling please?

problem ( I have) with the cover is that it interrupts the line of the intake pushrod cover...so it still sticks out.

That's why I have the football cover on my bike still.

Luckily I learned from a pal who had the ventilator put on his bike at delivery and the first thing we both noticed was that friggin' plug...and the sheathing over the wiring isn't even dressed.

If mine was exposed, I might think about removing the wires from the plug, dressing the end of the cabling with heat shrink, and then connecting the wires to the throttle body directly ( then using rtv or something)- whatever- that plug is ugly !

I guess I don't notice it so much with my AN BS. I am upgrading to a Heavy Breather type AC this spring, then it will be more of an issue for me. I really like the PM FASTair, but they don't make a cover for it. Yet.

Picked up this cover in gloss black just yesterday!

Well made and looks like it will fit perfectly on my 58mm SE TBI and cover up all of the 'stuff' that you don't want to see. Agree with an earlier statement that the chrome would be too loud.

Ride safe...
