Ok, so the bike is at the dealer for repairs from a hit and run. Looking at changing the exhaust out. Thinking of the Vance and Hines Power duals head pipe and some 3.5" Rinehart slip-ons. Anyone running this combination and how do you like it?

power duals may scrape on the cover over the X pipe if your bike is lowered.

when i say scrape, I mean hit hard...

make sure the clamp on the crossover is oriented so it won't hit on speedbumps and damage the pipe

so if your bike is stock height and the clamp is positioned correctly, then fine.

It's a 2011 Street Glide with a stock suspension. I was wondering about the scraping. I've already come close to scraping foot boards.

I've got V&H Dresser Duals and Rinehart 4" Slip-ons waiting to be installed. I was gonna go 3.5" but I wanted something deeper....bassier!

My buddy just installed new Reinhart 4" duals and his bike looks awesome and it sounds good too.

I have the V & H Power Duals along with the V & H Oval Slipons (not monsters). I've changed out the rear shocks to 12" Ohlins with about 3/4" sag and the HD front fork lowering kit. I don't scrape the crossover pipe because I intentionally am aware that my bike is lowered and hence take it easy going over speed bumps or high entrance curbs. Other than the crossover pipe you'll scrape the floor boards before you scrape the X-Pipe.

The combination of the Power Duals with the V & H ovals sounds great. I've towed a trailer and the reverb off the trailer is super.

I bought a 103 Limited Ultra last June. Put on Rinehart True Duals. Absolutely HATED them. (Plus bike was so hot I could cook breakfast from a foot away) Changed to V&H Power Duals, and Rush Big Louie slip-ons. Love the setup now. Got rid of the heat too. The only thing I'd do differently is different slip-ons. After I did the Rush, I heard some V&H Hi Output slip-ons on a Street Glide, and they sounded GREAT.

What about the Rush 'Big Louie' didn't you like ?? Not loud enough, not deep enough ??

I had Rush on the Classic too. 2.5 baffle. It's nice, but I'm just one of those guys who's never satisfied. I heard that Hi Output slip-on & it was just alot lower & throatier & rumblier & kick-assier. I liked it.
