Default MUSTANG Seat

I have a 2012 Road Glide and I hate the seat. I have an 05 Wide Glide and I can
ride 500 miles a day and want to go more the Road Glide I could do 50 miles and
I want to take about a 1 hour break. The wife loves the stock seat, I don't. Don't do much good to have a 6 gal tank. Have a Mustang seat on the Wide Glide. Thinking about this but don't know.

SUPER TOURING SEATS
Manufacturer Part No: 79539
Manufacturer: MUSTANG

Anyone using this seat?

Thanks

That would indeed solve your problem. Mustang makes the best touring seats IMO. The problem with HD seats the pan is cheap. It doesn't support around the edges like Mustang. I've had several mustang touring seats over the years including the 79539. My wife had the 79538 on her SG trike. Wish I'd kept it when we traded for her 2012 Triglide. I'll probably end up buying another one I have the Mustang Super Solo on the RK you see in my sig pic. I bought mine from westendmotorsports.com They have a 15 day return policy if you aren't satisfied. Good luck!

I'm in a simalar boat. I ride solo on my SG but the stock seat has me getting monkey butt after 100 miles. On my Heritage I bought a Mustang and after breaking it in (aprox 1000 miles) it was awesome. I could ride all day. The forum though, has me thinking about C and C seats. Leaning that way with custom stitching and in-lays, with a back rest.

Let me knwo what you decide

The OEM seat was the first thing to go on my 2010 RK. I went with a Mustang solo and have never looked back. Many rides that are 8-10 hrs in a day and no problems with the seat. Also, take a hard look at the backrest. Great combination.

I love my Mustang seat. Mine is the lowdown to lower me a bit but it's the most comfortable seat (that I haven't sent to Mean City) I've ever had

Agree with the Mustang seat, most comfortable I've ever been on. I'm going to have to do like SharkBite and go with a lowdown (didn't realize how much the touring would raise me up), but going down the road it's incredible.

I thought about a back rest also but at 6'3" I am already pretty close to everything up front. My brother has a backrest on his Electra Glide Ultra Classic
and he never uses it because it pushes him to far forward and he is shorter than
me. He is running on a stock HD seat tho.

As subjective as seats are I cannot give a usable endorsement of any seat because I've got a degenerated disk I try to work into my riding. The seat is a tad stiff for me. I'm 5-9" It pushed me back and up requiring I lower the rear an inch. The backrest is better than what I had as it's lower hitting the disk area better...but like I said, I'm working around a malady so I have a unique situation.
