Talldog,
What kind of bike do you have? Have fun with your GPS and just relax. As others have said the 660 is pretty much trouble free. Give us some pictures when you get the GPS mounted and wired in.

Here's a couple pics, turned out pretty well, I tied in to the extra Power/Ground wire at the Headlight Connection.

Registered at Garmin and downloaded the latest Software and Maps.

Default OEM plug # 70264-94 wiring

found your thread about wiring and plugs..im planing on using the plug you mentioned two into one OEM # 70264-94..was wondering if you had some sort of wire diagram that i cold fellow two wire up a socket??...i want to run my gps and detectable pizza box lights.i see the plug thats there now has for pins...

thanks shooter for speedy reply...so if i got this right,to use the acc switch,the two wires from the GPS unit..one is ground ( BLK ) and one Hot ( red ) the hot will go to the orange and the blk will go to blk gound,,,and if i want marker lights from the trunk to be on when ignition is on i wire the to the green and splice into the blk for ground..YES???

I have my GPS wired to the Black ground and Green hot.

The Orange wire is controlled with the ACC switch. The Red and White wire is the brake light circuit.

So if you want the GPS and lights to BOTH come on with ignition then use the Green and Black wires.
