Default Beer Keg used for storage

Has anybody done this,Im not sure a 5 gal. keg would work. Would it be to big? Is there a smaller one , mabye a 3 gal. I wanna cut in half, top to bottom, put hinges on the back. Also wanna mount it to a quick detatch luggage rack.Any thoughts guys.

hair yea sounds like great project. A tig welder would come in handy... i have a 5 or 7 gallon keg not sure volume.....been savinging it for a fuel tank project. good luck ya got my wheels turning

Wooden whiskey barrel would be cooler, and easier to work with

It would make a good detachable cooler. Certainly unique. Pictures when you get it installed. Interesting. Go for it!!

I use a keg for storage... it stores beer quite nicely.

Saw this pic and went to look for this trailer and found your thread instead. Thought you might like it, or can use it for a reference ... Enjoy It is just absolutely awesome and I love the extra baby one attached to it..

Would have loved to see the inside of both of them looked like.

And if you decide to create one ... Keep me in mind and make one for me too!! lol
