Thx that was my thought excatly. The bike is staying at the body shop till mid march anyway. (free winter storage) Will be done next week. So when its all together I will see. I got the new Harley tinted wind splitter winshield also. Every one is use to the norm. So i was sure it was going to get comments about it not being painted

I left mine black too...I think painting all of it, in lighter colors is just too much..... add some chrome and make it different.

if you want contrast and it to be black I would paint it black , when you leave it unpainted it looks like you forgot it because the painted parts are smooth and shiny , if you paint it black it will look finished but contrast jmo

Who did your paint? Ive been thinking of doing the same type deal. Really wanted a 11 FLHXSE2 but was too cheap to lay down the cash. Now I want to update the back of the bike to look like the SE but I can't find anyone who want's to do Sadona Orange.

The company name is Elite Auto sales, Tony Amaruto (sp) owns the place. He really doesnt sell cars. Has the name to keep dealer plates. He sells some older low milage cars. But is not a car lot. He used to be a custom bike builder and does all the graphics. I will have pictures of my bike done in a week. He is extremely **** when it comes to painting things. So it will be perfect when its done. Just to give you heads up. He is a great guy. But if he tells you 2 weeks figure 3 weeks. Just so you know going in. But there is salt on roads anyway if you plan on a winter project. Tell him I passed it along. I told him when its done I would give card to anyone that asked about work

Mcginley Motorsports Bozeman, MT 1-406-587-8616 do a great job with Sedona Orange they have done my stuff, and they get my bike back next week for the next round of paint. they do great on shipping stuff for you if your not close. don't take them long to finish.

Back to OP looks great I like it left black, gloss black would be cool also

The one thing I am leaning towards is just painting around gauges and putting the chrome around switches.
