Default I have a turn signal problem...

on an '06 Electra Glide. When I turn on the main power switch, both front turn signals flash about 5 times. Neither turn signal will work using their switch.

Any suggestions on how to fix this is appreciated. Thanks

Did you recently rewire something or add an accessory? Find your flasher unit and see if it's gone bad or if a fuse has blown.

Do the rear signals work?
Does the bike have security?
Don't bother looking for the flasher there isn't one. That function done with the TSM or the TSSM.

The flashing turn signals are telling you it's storing a trouble code. Probably something to do with the TSSM. There are procedures for checking them somewhere on this board, I just don't have the link handy atm.

If you have the owners manual it may tell you about such things.

No blown fuses, that I can see... I'll check w/ a test light tomorrow.

Thanks for the link on the TSM/TSSM, I'll have a friend check this out.

Thanks to all who replied....Ride on!!

Five flashes on 2006 TSM are used to indicate that there is a system error assiciated with the TSM.

It is pazling that your rear turn signals do not work - front and rear turn signals on each side (left or right) are connected together.

If you see just the front flashing that means that the rear lighting is disconnected - that may be the reason for the trouble code.

On the other hand you are saying that using the turn switches none of the turn signals can be activated? In such case I would first check the fuses.
If your starter doesn't work either then you need to replace the TSM (or check the connections to it first). Also, verify it hasn't fallen off the mounting bracket.

Do you by any chance have LED turn signals installed? That TSM you have will not work with LEDs unless you use load equilizers.
