the 09+ RKC comes with 103" motor, oil cooler, and ABS, doesn't it?

103'' engines and ABS as standard equipment in the Road King Classic didn't come till 2011. I think ABS was an option in 2009 and 2010.

So my question is, if i were to buy a 09 to newer classic can i buy hard bags and drop them on with little to no issues?

Thanks
I'm pretty sure you can....

Yeah, in 2011 they made the 103" and ABS standard on the Classic but not the regular Road King.

I personally prefer the leather bags even though they lack locks mostly because I prefer a cruiser look to a true bagger look. (I don't want a fairing either.) Another reason is that it is ALOT more color. I love my purple bike(s) but swapping my leather bags for purple ones would be just too much purple. I would feel the same about alot of colors. (For example, I like the Sedona orange color on the '11's, but with the orange bags it is ALOT of orange.) I'm not sure if black hard bags would look like they belong on bikes of other colors since hard bags are almost always color coordinated. One of the reasons I liked the Classic was because of the leather bags. But all of this is just personal preference.
