Default Wheeldock center stand on SG (PICS)

On another thread, I asked about center stands, and after reading some posts, decided to go with the Wheeldock center stand.

Goes on easy.....but needed a ball peen hammer to carefully tap it fully into position.

Here are 2 pics when it is folded up:

And here it is extended down.

I like it. It is very easy to extend while on the bike. A piece of 1 inch think board underneath will raise the back wheel off the ground when needed.

Lookin good, but honestly, I've never quite understood the appeal of a center stand, can you explain?

Takes up less room in the garage when parked.
Great for cleaning
Great for servicing, on ground or on a lift.
Looks cool parked at bike nights.
Handy for cleaning wheels
Great for fixing flats on the road.

I'm sure there's more....

Thanks for the pictures. From your pictures, Boy, that arm on the Wheeldock really sticks out. With the pegs you can really see it when up.
I'm glad I bought the Harley Center Stand. The Harley stand is tucked up and almost invisible. I'm replacing my Passenger Footboards with Chrome Pegs.

Post #5 pretty much covers it.

Really nice for servicing in the garage, cleaning the rear wheel, and to get max amt. of fuel in tank when filling up if going a long distance between stops.

That's interesting, I would think you would tip the bike toward the back wheel, not the front, to get the most gas in, but I guess I'm wrong?

Any clearance issues with the HD center stand over bumps and while cornering? How hard is it to get the bike on the stand?
