Agreed. Just get a dyno tune.

Stick with the SE Race Tuner for fewer problems
I had the SE Race Tuner installed on my 2003 FLHRI at 40,000 miles along with S&S 510 gear driven cams and the upgraded HD oil pump at HD Fullerton in CA. The bike was a stock 88ci except for SE stage 1 air filter and Vance Hines oval slip on mufflers. Fullerton tuned my bike on their dyno and I was amazed with the power gains. All my bros ride 96 or bigger motors and now I can slowly walk away from the 96ers. Still can't beat the 103s but I'm very happy with the Race Tuner, cams and dyno. The SE Race Tuner has never failed or given me a problem. I now have 82,000 hard miles on the bike. I have had to replace the fuel lines in the tank a few times due to pin holes (should be a recall) but the SE tuner works perfect. The motor even runs cooler now and I can run regular gas without knocks until it gets above 110 degrees air temp (I live in the desert. One of my friends got the same 03 RK but put a Power Commnder on it with a dyno tune and Bub True Duals. He has had many tuning problems and his bike has always been slower than my bike. Another thing to consider: There are few shops that know how work on a PC system, but nearly every HD shop knows the SE Race Tuner and many independents also know it. Peace of mind is priceless.
