Found my missing socket

Yep got home one day and I wear those carhart pants with the side pockets and I carry a 6 and 1 screwdriver on the right side and a small cressent and a small pair of channelocks in the other side. Came home early one day and jumpped on the scoot and figured I take a spin. Got on the highway and took off like a bat out of hell and saw my 6n1 go flying across the road......lucky for me know body was in its path...... and I loved that screwdriver

I lost a tire iron one time. Looked all over for it. About six months later I took the wheel off to switch from a knobby to a street tire (dirt bike). Broke the bead and started pulling out the tube. You won't believe how polished and shiny a tire iron will get riding around inside the tire for 6 months.

I was in the driveway one day working on my car, had to call the auto parts store to see if they had a part in stock. Hopped in my truck and drove 5 miles to the store, then I went to the gas station and filled the truck up. When I came out of the store I thought "what the hell is that on my bumper?". Turns out it was the cordless phone that I had called the parts store with.

Back when I was a technician at a GM garage I left the magnetic holder for my drop light under a vehicle I worked on that day, but had no idea which one. About a year later an SUV came in and was assigned to me. I put it up on the lift and what did I see but my magnetic drop light holder stuck to the bottom of that SUV! It rode around under there for year and about 17,000 miles without coming off. Good thing it was up by the frame rail behind the transmission and not up close to the engine where the oil changer would see it, or it would have found its way into someone elses tool box.
